Amarillo - Tucumcari
After Amarillo we made a short stop at the Cadillac Ranch in Soncy.
We drove through Bushland, Wildorado, and Vega towards Adrian.
The Midpoint Café was our next stop towards New Mexico. Now we have made half the mileage to Santa Monica.
After passing into New Mexico at the border ghost town of Glenrio we have now 4 of the 8 States behind us.
After Glenrio we went onto an early unpaved alignment of the old 66, which brought us into San Jon.
Tucumcari was next, and our destination for today was the beautiful restored Blue Swallow Motel. It was very nice to meet Terri and Bill.
Santa Fe will be next tomorrow.
